DIAM SEBAGAI TERAPI EMOSI DAN IMUNITAS: INTEGRASI PERSPEKTIF SAINS DAN AJARAN ISLAM

Artikel ini menyoroti potensi diam yang disadari (mindful silence) sebagai terapi psikologis dan spiritual (psikospiritual) melalui integrasi perspektif Islam dan psikologi modern. Permasalahan yang dibahas adalah kurangnya kesadaran akan manfaat diam sadar dalam mendukung kesehatan mental dan spiritual. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka (kajian literatur) dengan analisis kualitatif-tematik. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa praktik diam sadar dapat menurunkan stres, meningkatkan fungsi sistem imun, dan menstabilkan emosi melalui mekanisme neuroimunologi. Dalam perspektif Islam, diam bernilai spiritual melalui praktik seperti dzikir dan tafakur yang merupakan bagian dari spiritualitas Islam. Pembahasan menggarisbawahi perbedaan antara diam konstruktif (berbasis kesadaran dan spiritualitas) dengan diam represif akibat tekanan atau ketakutan. Diam konstruktif bermanfaat bagi kesehatan psikologis dan fisiologis, sedangkan diam represif meningkatkan risiko gangguan psikosomatik. Ajaran Islam juga menekankan pentingnya pengendalian diri dalam berbicara sebagai bentuk ibadah, bukan represi emosional. Kesimpulannya, diam sadar merupakan praktik holistik yang mengintegrasikan kedalaman spiritual Islam dengan temuan psikologi modern untuk mendukung kesejahteraan mental dan fisik. Implikasi praktisnya adalah perlunya dukungan sosial yang empatik dan peningkatan literasi emosi dalam komunitas Muslim untuk memfasilitasi ruang diam reflektif yang menyembuhkan.
