SHALAT DAN KESEHATAN MENTAL: TINJAUAN PSIKOSPIRITUAL TERHADAP PENGURANGAN STRES DALAM PERSPEKTIF ISLAM

Abstract

Shalat sebagai ibadah utama dalam Islam tidak hanya memiliki nilai spiritual, tetapi juga manfaat psikologis yang signifikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji efektivitas shalat dalam mengurangi stres dan mendukung kesehatan mental melalui pendekatan studi literatur. Kajian terhadap berbagai publikasi ilmiah menunjukkan bahwa praktik shalat memengaruhi aktivitas otak, meningkatkan kadar hormon serotonin dan dopamin, serta memperkuat regulasi emosi dan ketahanan psikologis. Aktivasi area otak seperti medial prefrontal cortex dan precuneus selama shalat mengindikasikan keterlibatan fungsi kognitif, empati, dan refleksi diri. Aspek sosial dari shalat berjamaah turut membentuk dukungan emosional dan rasa keterhubungan, yang berkontribusi pada kesejahteraan mental. Hasil kajian ini mengonfirmasi bahwa keteraturan dan kekhusyukan dalam shalat berdampak positif terhadap kondisi psikologis individu, menjadikannya sebagai praktik terapi psikospiritual yang potensial dalam manajemen stres. Dengan demikian, praktik shalat layak dikembangkan lebih lanjut sebagai bagian dari intervensi kesehatan mental modern, terutama dalam konteks masyarakat Muslim yang menjunjung tinggi nilai spiritual. Temuan ini menguatkan urgensi integrasi spiritualitas Islam ke dalam praktik kesehatan mental modern guna membangun pendekatan yang lebih holistik, kontekstual, dan sesuai dengan keyakinan masyarakat Muslim
