Abstract

SMP Santo Arnoldus Janssen is an educational institution committed to providing quality educational services. Along with the increasing number of students, academic data, and other administrative needs, the manual management of student data, parents/guardians, academic, attendance, and administrative information has begun to become an obstacle in the efficiency and accuracy of work. Processes such as recording student data, managing grades, class schedules, and academic reports are still mostly done manually using physical documents or non-integrated applications, so they are prone to errors, data loss and require a long time. In addition, student data is still recorded manually using books, vulnerable to data loss or damage, difficult to perform data searches quickly, takes a long time to make academic and attendance reports, each teacher or section (Administration, Homeroom Teacher) manages the data individually. Based on the problems described above, the author is interested in conducting research with the title of design and implementation of a student database management system at SMP Santo Arnoldus Janssen. The results obtained can help present accurate and relevant value processing information. Can save time for recording values ​​in report cards, value list reports, student and teacher value summaries will be easier to inform. The results of student data reports for each child, the required monthly value recap reports will be easily obtained on time
